Sunday Services

IMG 0534Our main service begins at 10.45am with a welcome from our Minister, or whoever is leading worship. Then follows a time of worship. We typically have 4 or 5 songs during the service.  In our Morning Service we usually have more traditional Hymns, played normally on our Organ, from a Hymn Book called 'Baptist Praise and Worship'.

We have a 'briefing' section, which tells us about what is happening in the church, and one of our members will read some passages from the bible.

One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We usually pray for others (know as Prayers of Intercession) and we then finish with a final worship song of praise.

Our evening service (last Sunday of the month) is slightly more contemporary.  It starts at 6.30pm, and we use our Organ or recorded music for worship, with the Hymns normally being from 'Mission Praise', or on the screen if more modern.  As Ilkley churches have few evening services, our congregation tends to be ecumenical, with people from all churches and all kinds of backgrounds.

We meet at:
Ilkley Baptist Church
4 Kings Road
West Yorkshire LS29 9AD

There is parking available on the site.

You can expect a warm welcome; great worship; relevant preaching based in the Word of God and a friendly group of people ready to learn more about what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

Come and join us!
